The Hostal Mallorquines is one of the oldest in the region of La Selva. In 1925, Pau Bardalet i Costa took over the reins and since then it has been passed down from father to son to the present generation, the third generation, with Pau and Maria Batlle Bardalet, who are in charge of the family business.
Located in a strategic location (on the road from Sils to Santa Coloma de Farners) it is an important meeting point for travellers. The Hostel was built on a road on the Roman road that linked Paris with Tarragona. In the past, it was an obligatory place of passage and stop for those who made the journey on foot, by car or by carriage. It is currently surrounded by important communication routes such as the N-II, the A-7 motorway, the Tarnsversal axis of Catalonia and the Sils railway station.
The Hostel is very close to Girona airport and halfway between the city of Barcelona and France.
